Though your first\ninclination may be to panic, keep your cool and contact your dentist as soon as\npossible. Explain what happened in detail. This will allow them to determine\nwhat your next steps should be. Your dentist will then help you set up an\nappointment so you can come in to have it fixed. During this appointment, they\nwill determine what caused the veneer to fall off in the first place. If you can\u2019t find it, your dentist will be able to replace the\nveneer with a new one. Do not attempt to glue the veneer back on yourself.\nUsing products that aren\u2019t tooth-friendly like super glue will introduce\npotentially harmful chemicals into your mouth. Additionally, you may end up\ndamaging your veneers, teeth, or gums. It\u2019s best to let your dentist reattach\nit during your appointment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">#3: Be Cautious<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Until your dentist can reattach the veneer or get you a new\none, be careful about what you eat and how you eat it. If possible, chew on the\nopposite side of your mouth to avoid discomfort. Additionally, don\u2019t eat or\ndrink anything overly hot or cold as this can irritate the tooth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">#4: Use a Temporary Solution<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Since veneers require the removal of a thin layer of tooth\nenamel, the teeth may feel a little rough against your tongue or cheeks. Apply\ndental wax to the tooth to the affected tooth to create a barrier between it\nand irritants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Losing one of your veneers may be a bit anxiety-inducing,\nbut it\u2019s nothing your dentist can\u2019t fix.
