We’re in-network with Ameritas dental insurance plans, which means you’ll be able to enjoy the fullest extent of your benefits when you receive dental care at our office. Every plan is a little different, even when offered by the same provider, but don’t worry. If you’re not sure how much coverage to expect, our team can help you navigate the details of your policy and will make sure you save as much money as possible! Contact our office in Astoria before your appointment to find out if your treatment will be covered.

Ameritas Coverage Availability & Fees

Your Ameritas dental insurance coverage availability will likely depend on your monthly premium. Higher fees are generally associated with more favorable terms, such as more extensive coverage, lower deductibles, or greater annual maximums. Like most dental insurance providers, though, Ameritas does cover 100% of the costs for two checkup and cleaning appointments per year, so you can count on free preventive care regardless of whether you’ve hit your deductible!

For other services, such as tooth replacements, restorative crowns, or tooth extraction, you can reasonably expect to receive somewhere between 50% and 80% coverage. “Major restorative treatments” are usually eligible for coverage amounts closer to 50%, while “minor restorative treatments” are more likely to qualify for 80%.

Meet the Team

Our friendly team works with dental insurance every day, so we’re familiar with “insurance lingo” and are pros at filing claims. That’s right – in addition to helping you navigate your benefits, we’ll also file claims on your behalf! Simply provide us with your dental insurance information, and we’ll take care of the rest. After getting a good look at your plan, we should have a pretty good idea of what sort of coverage you’ll receive for your treatment. If you’d like to get a sense for what your out-of-pocket costs will be, don’t be afraid to ask.
